H. A. Farms is an integrated agribusiness that is focused on producing healthy and affordable poultry eggs and meat for the Ghanaian public. The enterprise adopts automated drinking systems for the supply of water to its birds and converts the poultry litter into organic manure for sale to farmers. The effective litter and water management processes ensures efficient use of resources as well as contributes to the reduction of methane gas emissions from the poultry farm. H. A. Farms looks to GCIC’s support to refurbish its existing deep litter system, to adopt solar power for lighting and heating in the poultry house, and to acquire energy efficient refrigerator, and chicken feather pluckers among others.
