Farmio is an agri-tech company that leverages mobile and web-based technologies, circular economy principles as well as precision farming techniques to provide affordable greenhouses and farm support services to its clients. Farmio also relies a soilless growing media in their green houses which is a soil conservation mechanism. With the greenhouse technology, Farmio can adapt to the effects of climate change as reflected in low and irregular rainfall patterns.
Farmio wishes to be uniquely supported by GCIC to develop the back-end of the Farmio SuperApp which aims to integrate four elements: investor platform, e-commerce, farm management and ecosystem support. It also looks forward to receiving support in the automation of its 500sqm greenhouse as a demo centre incorporating fertigation, temperature and humidity sensing and nutrient supply to render training services for its clients. The successful implementation and scaling of these services will largely improve the sustainability of their operations and those of their clients.
