Emfed Farms
Emfed farms, located in Assin Fosu, was established in 2017. The enterprise provides farm management services to smallholder cocoa farmers and manufactures organic
compost. It also aggregates cocoa beans and currently has 50 employees Composting is a climate-friendly practice that helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through replacing chemical fertilizers and diverting food waste from landfills to improving soil health. The use of chemical fertilizer is known to significantly release Nitrous oxide and methane into the atmosphere.
