NorthLite Solar Limited (NSL)
NorthLite Solar Limited (NSL) is a limited liability, Ghanaian owned Renewable Energy Service provider, licensed by the Energy Commission of Ghana and recognized by the Ministry of Energy, as well as being an accredited member of the Association of Ghana Solar Industry. NSL operates a franchise distributor network which currently has approximately 236 in 11 districts across the three northern region and parts of the Savannah area. NSL’s target market segment includes households, farmers, women, youth groups and persons with physical disabilities with an emphasis on women. They serve 70% OFF-GRID Businesses and 30% EPC Grid Options.
Adabre Akasoba Frank is the founder/CEO of Northlite Solar Limited and an energy expert with entrepreneurial experience working with both public and private renewable energy entry projects in Ghana. He started NorthLite in 2019 with the objective of developing a business model that sought to create a sustainable social impact while providing the appropriate opportunities for a greener and cleaner environment. Northlite won the Austrian off-grid solar project development award in 2016 and presented the first off-grid project concept at the INTERSOLAR fair in Munich Germany, to challenge the basis for firm policy and regulatory framework enhancement for Ghana. He also offered technical and feasibility consultancy for the World Bank/ARB APEX/GEDAP rural solar PV entry projects. He partners with Celina Nyaaba Amoah to run the organization.
