Alliance for Seed Multiplication (ASM-Ghana)
Mohammed Seidu is the co-founder and Managing Director of ASM-Ghana. He has worked in various capacities as quality assurance officer, field officer at various agribusinesses and research institution such as Heritage Seeds Co. Ltd, Shinkaafa Buni Rice Farmers Association and International Institute of Tropical Agriculture respectively. Since 2014, he has been involved in the production of various varieties of crop seeds such as maize, rice, soybean, cowpea etc. Having realized the importance of seed to crop production, ASM-Ghana was established to multiply climate-smart seeds whiles creating jobs for graduates who are unemployed. From just 10 acres of soybean in 2017, we are now running over 100 acres soybean farm as well as other crops with our graduate out-grower scheme.
The Alliance for Seed Multiplication (ASM-Ghana) is a seed producing company in the Northern Region of Ghana. ASM-Ghana was registered on the 25th day of February 2018 as a Seed Company. The principal activities of the company include -Multiplication processing and distribution of Foundation Seed and Certified Seed of assorted varieties of crops such as Maize, Soybeans, cowpea, rice groundnut and sorghum for the local market and export and Support of smallholder farmer development with the aim of increasing their productivity and raising their income levels.
